The quick-prep is a tube and pipette system that isolates 1 ml of urine sediment for microscopic examination. The kit includes our specially designed transfer pipette and 12 ml urine centrifuge tube. This system is used to isolate 1 ml of urine sediment stain and allow easy pour off of the balance. It has been designed for use with our quick-read (10-place) urinalysis slide. The quick-read precision cell microscope slide is designed to provide accuracy, uniformity and safety in the microscopic examination of urinary sediment. Made from optically clear acrylic, the slide features 10 chambers with integrated coverslips. Within each chamber there are 18 circles that are all together visible at 100x magnification. These premeasured circles contain specific volumes of urinary sediment within its circumference that allows for the easy calculation of cellular elements present in 1ml of urine. The system is a combination slide and coverslip of optically clear acrylic with ten separate chambers, each holding a standard volume of 6.3 µL. Ten processed and stained specimens can be read at a time. This facilitates a convenient and rapid microscopic examination of the cellular elements in each specimen.
