Our customers can be assured that all of the waste medentex receives will not end up in a landfill. medentex recycles 100% of all amalgam waste at its own recycling facility!
When your container is full, place the container in the box it came in and use the pre-paid shipping label supplied to ship it back to medentex. We recycle the contents at no additional charge and send you a certificate for you records!
This container stores amalgam waste from chair-side traps, solids collectors, cuspidor strainers & left over or spent amalgam.
Every medentotainer® lid with medentovap® effectively suppresses toxic mercury vapors from escaping and threatening the dental practice. Mercury vapor is a dangerous health hazard and the medentovap® technology minimizes the exposure risks for dentists and their staff. The World Health Organization (WHO) recommends a maximum exposure rate of 50 micrograms per cubic meter (µg/m3).

medentovap - our unique mercury vapor suppressant technology
For the secure handling and storage of amalgam waste, all of our containers are equipped with medentovap mercury vapor suppressant technology. The lids contain a special sponge impregnated with medentovap, in order to minimize toxic mercury vapor emission from the containers.
The World Health Organization (WHO) recommends a maximum exposure of 50 micrograms per cubic meter (µg/m3). A study conducted by medentex indicated that containers without mercury vapor suppressants emit a much higher concentration of the dangerous vapor than recommended.
