An international consensus states that an antimicrobial action is indicated to help reduce bioburden in infected wounds. And acts as an antimicrobial barrier in wounds at high risk of infection or re-infection. Mepilex border sacrum ag adheres gently with safetac the original less-pain contact layer with silicone adhesion. So your patients experience less pain during dressing changes. Mepilex border sacrum ag is indicated for the management of medium- to high-exuding wounds in the sacral area where a moist environment, exudate handling, gentle fixation and an antimicrobial action is indicated. Mepilex border sacrum ag may be used on infected wounds as part of a treatment regimen under supervision of a qualified healthcare professional. Cleanse the wound with saline solution or water according to standard clinical practice. Dry the surrounding skin thoroughly. Remove the release films and apply the adherent side to the wound. Do not stretch. For best results, mepilex border ag’s wound pad should overlap the wound edges by at least 2 cm.
